Step-by-step explanation:

8x+3y = 3.8 -------(1)

4x - 5y = 0.6--------(2)

multiply eq(2) with 2 so that 4x becomes 8x and x terms

gets cancelled

now eq(2) =

8x -10y = 1.2

subtracting eq(2) from eq(1)

now

13y = 2.6

y = 0.2

substitution of y in any of those equations gives u value of

x also

now x =

8x - 10(0.2) = 1.2

8x - 2 = 1.2

8x = 1.4

x = 1.4 /8 = 0.7/4

so x = 0.7/4 and y = 0.2

I hope this is correct.......

Answer:

8x + 3y = 3.8 .......................... 1

4x - 5y = 0.6 ..............................2

multiple eq 2 by 2

8x - 10y = 1.2 ................3

subtract 1 from 3 , we get

8x - 10y - (8x + 3y) = 1.2 - 3.8

8x - 10y - 8x - 3y = - 2.6

- 13 y = - 2.6

Y = -2.6/-13 = 0.2

putting the value of Y in eq 1

8x + 3 X 0.2 = 3.8

8x + 0.6 = 3.8

8x = 3.8 - 0.6

8x = 3 .2

X = 3.2/8 = 0.4
