Answer:

x+y = 16 .......(1)

3x-2y = 12

multiply 2 in eq 1 and add both

2x+2y = 32

3x-2y = 12

we get 5x = 44

x = 44/5

Put x in eq 1

y = 16-44/5 = 80-44/5 = 36/5
