i. Answer,

Since, By the definition of equality of ordered pair.we have,

x = -7 & y= 4

Hence, the required value of x & y = -7 & 4.

ii. Soln :

Since, By the definition of equality of ordered pair.we have,

x - 3 = 4

Or, x = 4 + 3

Therefore, x = 7 ---------------(1)

Again,

6 = x + y

Or, 6 = 7 + y ( Putting value of x from eqn: 1)

Or, 6 -7 = y

Therefore, y= -1

Hence, the required value of x & y = 7 & -1
