SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

The value of value of x and y if two ordered pairs ( 7 - x , y ) and ( 4 , x + 6 ) are equal

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the ordered pairs ( 7 - x , y ) and ( 4 , x + 6 ) are equal

Thus we get

( 7 - x , y ) = ( 4 , x + 6 )

Comparing both sides we get

7 - x = 4 & y = x + 6

Which gives x = 3

Again y = x + 6 = 3 + 6 = 9

FINAL ANSWER

x = 3 , y = 9
