The value of x is 2 and the value of y is 3.

Given,

(x + 1, y - 2) = (3, 1)

To Find,

The value of x and y.

Solution,

We have, (x + 1, y - 2) = (3, 1)

⇒ x + 1 = 3

⇒ x = 3 - 1

⇒ x = 2

Similarly, y - 2 = 1

⇒ y = 1 + 2

⇒ y = 3

Therefore, the value of x and y is 2 and 3 respectively.
