Answer:

in∆ ABD

<A+<D+x = 180°

40°+90°+x= 180

x= 180°- 130°

x=50°

AB=AC

so, <B=<C=a

<A+<B+<C=180°

40°+a+a=180°

2a=180°-40°

2a=140°

a=140°\2

a=70°

a=x+y

70°=50°+y

y=70°-50°

y=20°

As,

AB = AC

so ,

 \angle \: b \:  =  \angle \: c

b + b = 40

2b = 40

b = 20 °

so angle B = 20° and c = 20°

now ,

x+y = 20°

let x and y be x.

x + x = 20°

2 x = 20°

x = 10°

so angle X = 10° AND Y = 10°
