i)figure shows that AD =DC & AB=AC (isosceles triangle)

In triangle ABC :

x+80°+80=180° <ABC = <ACB

x=180°-160° [ since AB = Ac ]

♧ x=20°

In triangle ADC :

x+x+y=180° <BAC = <ACD

20°+20°+y=180° [ since alternate

y=180°-40° interior angles

♧ y=140° are equal ]

ii) figure shows that AB=AC &CB= CD (isosceles triangle)

In triangle ABC :

x+x+30°=180° <ABC = <ACB

2x=180°-30° [ since AB = AC ]

♧ x=75°

In triangle BCD :

x+y+90°=180° <DBC = <BCA

75°+y+90°=180° [ since alternate

y= 180°- 165° interior angles

♧ y=15° are equal]
