Step-by-step explanation:

let 2x + 3y = 13 eqn i

3x + 2y = 13 eqn ii

eqn i × 3 and eqn ii × 2

6 x + 9 y = 39

6x + 4 y = 26

_____________

5 y = 13

y= 13/5

2x + 3× 13/5 = 13. ( from eqn i )

2x = 13 - 39/5

2x = (65 - 39) / 5

2x = 26/5

x = 13/5

x= y = 13/5
