Given :

  • A triangle with one interior angle of 50° and exterior angle 120°.

To Find :

  • Value of x and y

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{x+50\degree=120\degree\:(Exterior\:angle)}

\longmapsto\tt{x=120\degree-50\degree}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{x=70\degree}

Now :

\longmapsto\tt{70\degree+50\degree+y=180\degree\:(A.S.P)}

\longmapsto\tt{120\degree+y=180\degree}

\longmapsto\tt{y=180\degree-120\degree}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{y=60\degree}

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt{Value\:of\:x=70\degree}

\longmapsto\tt{Value\:of\:y=60\degree}

VERIFICATION :

\longmapsto\tt{x+y+50\degree=180\degree}

\longmapsto\tt{70\degree+60\degree+50\degree=180\degree}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{180\degree=180\degree}
