SO THEIR OPPOSITE ANGLES ARE ALSO EQUAL...

X+X=140
2X=140
X=70

NOW WE KNOW THAT
IN A TRIANGLE SUM OF ALL THE ANGLES IS 180

NOW IN GIVEN TRIANGLE

X+X+Y=180
2X+Y=180
2*70+Y=180
140+Y=180
Y=180-140=40

SOOO

X=70 AND Y=40
