Answer:

In a rectangle opp sides are equal

x+3y=13 and 3x+y=7

solving these equations

multiplying equation one with 3

3x+9y=39

3x+y=7

3x gets cancel

8y=32

y=32/8=4

substituting y value in one equation

x+3(4) =13

x=13-12=1

Answer:

Use the perimeter formula of Rectangle.

AB + BC = CD + DA

(X + 3Y) + (3X + Y) = 13 + 7

4X + 4Y = 20

X + Y = 20/4+4

X + Y = 5/4

X = 5

Y = 4

OPTION  (C) IS CORRECT
