  • Value of x is 120°.
  • Value of y is 60°.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:-

  • Value of x and y.

Solution:-

Given triangle is an equilateral triangle because it's all sides are equal.

We know,

Measure of all angles of an equilateral triangle is 60°.

So, Measure of ∠1 will be 60°.

Sum of all angles forms on straight line is equal to 180°. We can also say \blue{ \sf \bold{Linear \: pair}} .

 \leadsto x + 60° = 180°

 \leadsto x = 180° - 60°

 \leadsto x = 120°

Now,

∠1 = y = 60° [By Vertically opposite angle]

Therefore,

Value of x is 120° and y is 60°.

Let's read more about triangles :-

Triangles are polygons which consists of three sides and three angles. Sum of all angles of triangle is equal to 180°.

Types of triangle:-

  1. Equilateral triangle :- In this triangle all sides are equal and all angles are all to 60°.
  2. Isosceles triangle :- In this triangle two sides are equal and two angles are equal.
  3. Scalene triangle :- In this all angles and sides of triangle are unequal.
  4. Right angle triangle :- In this triangle one angle is of 90° and other two angles are acute angles.
