the sum of all angle of a triangle = 180⁰

so, angle A + angle B + angle C = 180⁰

x + 50⁰ + y = 180⁰ ------------ ( 1 ) equation

We have to find the value of y firstly

( By linear pair )

angle ACB + angle ACD = 180 ⁰

y + 120⁰ = 180⁰

y = 180⁰- 120⁰

y = 60⁰

Now , putting the value of y in equation (1 )

x + 50⁰ + y = 180⁰

x + 50⁰ + 60⁰ = 180⁰

x = 180⁰ - 110⁰

x = 70⁰

Hence , x= 70and y= 60⁰
