Given :

To Find :

• The value of x and y.

Solution :

✇ As AOB is diameter, ∠C = 90°

∴ AB² = AC² + BC²

⟹ x² = (5² + 12²)cm²

ㅤㅤ⟹ (25 + 144) cm²

ㅤㅤ⟹ 169cm²

➯ x = √169 cm² = 13cm

➯ y = 1/2AB = 1/2 × 13 = 6.5 cm

Therefore :

∴ Value of x is 13cm and value of y is 6.5 cm.
