 ∠CAO=40°

CO is perpendicular to AB.

Since, ∆ABC is in semicircle,

Thus,  ∠ACB = 90°

According to angle sum property of triangle, in ∆ACO;

 ∠A + ∠AOC + ∠ACO = 180°;

40° + 90° + ∠ACO = 180

 ∠ACO = 50°. (i)

Now,  ∠ACB =  ∠ACO + ∠OCB;

Thus, ∠ACO + ∠OCB = 90°

50 + x = 90. (from eq. (i))

x = 40°.
