Given :

 \dfrac{2x - 5}{3}  = 3x + 10

To find :

  • The value of x

Solution :

It is given that :-

\implies\dfrac{2x - 5}{3}  = 3x + 10

Now cross multiply :-

\implies{2x - 5}  = (3x + 10)3

\implies{2x - 5}  = 9x + 30

Now place like terms together :-

\implies{2x -9x }  =  5 +  30

\implies{ - 7x }  =    35

\implies{ - x }  =     \dfrac{35}{7}

\implies{ - x }  =     5

\implies{ x }  =      - 5

Answer :

  • The value of x is - 5 .
