In the following figure it is given that all sides are equal hence it may be a rhombus .

step 1 : If AB and BC are equal hence it is a the angle opposite to it also be equal ( because it is a isosceles triangle )

step 2: Angle A = C = 40°

step 3: Angle B = A+B-180

so, B= 40+40-180

B = 100°

Hence all side are equal then ,

Angle D+B = 180°

Therefore, D= 180 -100

D = 80°

same thing applied in Triangle DAC. i.e A=C

let C be (x). so, x+x+80 = 180 ( angle sum property )

hence x= 50°

so your x = 50°

and Y =80°
