To Find

Value of 'x' from given figures

Property to be used

  • Opposite Angles of a parallelogram are equal.

  • Sum of adjacent angles in a parallelogram is 180^{\circ}.

Solution

c) Using first property mentioned above, we can say that,

5x = 110^{\circ}

x = \dfrac{110^{\circ}}{5}

x = 22^{\circ}

So, the value of x is 22 degree.

d) Using second property mentioned above, we can say that,

2x + 100^{\circ} = 180^{\circ}

2x = 180^{\circ}-100^{\circ}

2x = 80^{\circ}

x = \dfrac{80^{\circ}}{2}

x = 40^{\circ}

So, the value of x is 40 degree.

Answer

Value of x

  • 22^{\circ}\:\: and

  • 40^{\circ}

respectively.
