Given : x + 2y = 19x - y = 7

To Find :   Value of x

1) 4

2) -11

3) 11

4) -4

Solution:

x + 2y = 19     Eq1

x - y = 7         Eq 2

Eq1  + 2 * Eq2

=>  x + 2y  + 2(x - y)  = 19  + 2(7)

=> x + 2y  + 2x - 2y  = 19 + 14

=> 3x  =  33

=> x = 11

Value of  x = 11
