so, the common difference is equal
(x+10)-2x=(3x+2)-(x+10)
=> x+10-2x=3x+2-x-10
=> -x+10=2x-8
=> -x-2x= -8-10
=> -3x= -18
=> x = -18/-3=6
=> x=6
