we know that :-

Mode = L + {(f1 - f0) / (2f1 - f0 - f2)} * h

we have :-

  • Mode = 65
  • L = 60
  • f1 = 12
  • f0 = x
  • f2 = 6
  • h = 20

Putting all values we get :-

→ 65 = 60 + {(12 - x) / (2 * 12 - x - 6)} * 20

→ 65 - 60 = 20(12 - x) / (18 - x)

→ 5(18 - x) = 20(12 - x)

→ 18 - x = 4(12 - x)

→ 18 - x = 48 - 4x

→ 4x - x = 48 - 18

→ 3x = 30

→ x = 10 (Ans.)
