Q. If 4/9÷X = -10/3 then find the value of X.

Solution :

4/9÷X = -10/3

=> 4/9 × 1/X = -10/3

=> 4/9X = -10/3

=> 9X × (-10) = 4×3 [ cross multiplication ]

=> 9X × (-10) = 12

=> 9X = -12/10

=> X = -12/10 ÷ 9

=> X = -12/10 ×1/9

=> X = -2/15

Hence, value of X = -2/15

=================================

Verification

LHS = 4/9 ÷ X

Put the value of X

= 4/9 ÷ -2/15

= 4/9 × -15/2

= -10/3 = RHS (verified)
