Answer:
let P(2,-2) be x1 and y1 and Q(x,2) be x2 and y2
then, distance between two points is (x1,y1) and (x2,y2), by using distance formula
D=√(x2-x1)²+(y2-y1)²
= √(x-2)²+(2+2)²=5
= √(x-2)²+(4)²=5
= √(x-2)²+16=5
= Squareing both sides
= (x-2)²+16=25
= (x-2)²=25-16
= (x-2)²=9 ; (x-2)=√9
= x-2=+_3
= x-2=3 and x-2=-3
= x=1 and x=-1
So you will get the values (1,-1)
