then, distance between two points is (x1,y1) and (x2,y2), by using distance formula

D=√(x2-x1)²+(y2-y1)²

= √(x-2)²+(2+2)²=5

= √(x-2)²+(4)²=5

= √(x-2)²+16=5

= Squareing both sides

= (x-2)²+16=25

= (x-2)²=25-16

= (x-2)²=9 ; (x-2)=√9

= x-2=+_3

= x-2=3 and x-2=-3

= x=1 and x=-1

So you will get the values (1,-1)
