log3^(x-1) = 2 => (x-1) = 2/log3 => x = (2+log3)/log3 = 5.192.

log 3^{x-1}=2 \\ \\  (x-1)log(3)=2 \\ \\  x= \frac{2}{log 3}+1= \frac{2}{0.4771}+1=5.1918

log3^(x-1)=2
(x-1)log3=2        [since,log a^b=b log a]
x-1=2/log 3
x=(2/log 3)+1
x=(2/0.4771)+1
x=4.192+1
=>x=5.192
