6x =  {23}^{2}  -  {17}^{2}

6x=(23+17)(23-17)

6x=(40)(6)

x=(40*6)/6

x=40

We have,
6x =  {23}^{2}  -  {17}^{2}  \\  \\  =  > 6x = (23 + 17) \times (23 - 17) \\  \\  =  > 6x = 40 \times 6 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{6x}{6}  =  \frac{40 \times 6}{6}  \\  \\  =  > x = 40
