Co ordinate of A( 0,0) and B(X,-4)

distance between A and B is 5 units.

x1=0, y1= 0,x2 = X , y2 = -4

So using distance formula

AB = √{(x1 - x2)^2 + (y1 - y2) ^2}

5 = √{( 0-x)^2 + [0-(-4)] }

5= √x^2 + (4)^2

5 = √x^2 + 16

squaring both sides

(5)^2 = {√x^2+ 16}^2

25 = x^2 +16

5 = X+4

5-4 = X

X = 1

here is your answer.
