Numbers are : 1, 2, 5, x - 3, x + 1, x + 4, 15, 16, 19
total number of data points = 9
so median =
 [\frac{(9+1)}{2}]^{th}=5^{th} data = x+1

thus x+1 = 11
⇒ x = 11-1
⇒ x = 10
