Find the value of x if the slope of the line passing through(2,5)and(x,30) is 2.

 Slope =  \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

 \longrightarrow \:  \frac{30 - 5}{x - 2}  = 2

 \longrightarrow \: 30 - 5 = 2x - 4

  \longrightarrow \: 25 + 4 = 2x

 \longrightarrow \: 2x = 29

 \longrightarrow \: x =  \frac{29}{2}

 \longrightarrow \: 14.5
