we can take this equation in 2 formats
a) 1/(x+1) =0
b) (1/x)+1=0
Solution for (a)
there is no solution for this….because if we assume x=-1 then it will be 1/0 format….. hence its ∞ & if we assume x=0 then it will be 1 ….. 1 !=0 & ∞ !=0
1/(x+1)=0
Multiplying by x+1 on both sides,
1/(x+1)⋅(x+1)=0⋅(x+1)
1=0 but 1 !=0 hence no solution
Solution for (b)
1/x+1=0
1/x=−1
1=−1⋅x
x=−1
