Find the value of x if
(x-3)(2x-8)​

SOLUTION:

(x - 3) (2x - 8)

x(2x - 8) -3(2x - 8)

2x^2 - 8x - 6x + 24

2x (x - 4) -6(x - 4)

(x - 4) (2x - 6)

Now,

x - 4 = 0

x = 4

And,

2x - 6 = 0

2x = 6

x = 6/2

x = 3

Hence, the value of x is 4 and 3
