7x/3 - x - 1 = 13/12

Multiplying both sides with 3...

7x - 3x - 3 = 13/4

4 ( 7x - 3x - 3 ) = 13

28x - 12x - 12 - 13 = 0

16x - 25 = 0

16x = 25

Thus, x = 25/16 = (5/4)^2.
