Solution -

We have a right angled triangle LMN, right angled at M.

  • Height = LM = 7
  • Base = MN = 24
  • Hypotenuse = LN = x

To find :-

  • Value of x.

According to Pythagoras theorem, square of hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of other two sides.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀•°• LN² = LM² + MN²

→ (x)² = (7)² + (24)²

→ x² = 49 + 576

→ x² = 625

→ x = √625

→ x = 25 units

Thus, value of x is 25 units.

Given:-

  • Height of a right angled triangle is 7.
  • Base of a right angled triangle is 24.
  • Hypotenuse of a right angled triangle is x.

To find:-

  • Value of x.

Solution:-

★ In this question we have the height, base and hypotenuse of a right angled triangle. We have to find out the value of x. Let's do it.

According to the question,

⇢ LN² = LM² + MN²

⇢ (x)² = (7)² + (24)²

⇢ x² = 49 + 576

⇢ x² = 625

⇢ x = √625

x = 25

Hence,

  • The value of x is 25 units.
