1. angle BAD = 60⁰

angle ADC= 60⁰ (alternative interior angles)

In ∆EDC,

angleE + angleD + angleC =180⁰

x + 60⁰ + 45⁰ = 180⁰

x + 105⁰=180⁰

x= 75⁰

2. On rt.∆ ABC,

angleA + angleB + angleC =180⁰

40⁰+90⁰+ angleB =180⁰

angleB= 180—130= 50⁰

In ∆EBD

angleE - angleB + angle D=180⁰

100⁰+50⁰+ angleD=180⁰

angleB=180—150= 30⁰=x
