Answer:

The value of y is 65^{0}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : O is the center.

           Four rays coming from the center.

           The angles made by the rays are 50^{0} ,40^{0} ,130^{0} and (2y+10^{0}).

To find : The value of y.

Solution :

  • It is given that O is the center.

           Four rays coming from the center.

           The angles made by the rays are 50^{0} ,40^{0} ,130^{0} and (2y+10)^{0}.

  • As we know that, measure of circle is 360^{0}.
  • In order to find the value of y, we have to use the above property of circle.

       50^{0} +40^{0} +130^{0} +(2y+10)^{0} = 360^{0}

  •    On solving, we get

                     ∴ 220^{0}+(2y+10)^{0}  =360^{0}

                             ∴ (2y+10)^{0}=360^{0}-220^{0}

                                       ∴ 2y=140^{0} -10^{0}

                                        ∴ 2y=130^{0}

                                        ∴ y=(\frac{130}{2} )^{0}

                                        ∴ y=65^{0}

  • ∴ The value of y is 65^{0}.
