Using Pythagoras theorem on 1 of the triangle,

( {37)}^{2}  =(  {12})^{2}  +  { (\frac{x}{2}) }^{2}

1369 = 144 +  ({ \frac{x}{2} })^{2}

1225 = ( { \frac{x}{2} )}^{2}

Taking square root from both side

35 =  \frac{x}{2}

x = 70

Answer:

as You can see there are two triangles formed.

there are two right angles so one side of is equal x/2.

let suppose x/2 = y

Step-by-step explanation:

using Pythagoras theorem :

(12)² + (y)² = (37)²

144 + = 1369

= 1369-144

= 1225

y = 1225

1225= 35

so,

y = 35 = x/2

x/2 = 35

x = 35×2

x = 70

Hope You Got it.
