Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

In ∆ABC , AB = BC

and angle B = 50° and angle A = x°

To find :-

Find the value of X in triangle ABC ?

Solution :-

Given that :

ABC is a triangle

angle B = 50°

angle A = x°

And

AB = BC

We know that

In a triangle Angles opposite to equal sides are equal.

=> Opposite angle to AB = Opposite angle to BC

=>angle C = angle A

=> angle C = x°

We know that

The sum of all angles in a triangle is 180°

=> angle A + angle B + angle C = 180°

=> x° + 50° + x° = 180°

=> 2x° + 50° = 180°

=> 2x° = 180° - 50°

=> 2x° = 130°

=> x° = 130°/2

=> x° = 65°

=> angle A = 65°

=> angle C = 65°

Answer:-

The value of x for the given problem is 65°

Used formulae:-

  • In a triangle Angles opposite to equal sides are equal.

  • The sum of all angles in a triangle is 180°
