By The Definition of equality of Matrices,

2x + y = 5......(i) and 3x - 2y = 4....(ii)

=> x =4+2/3


Putting value of 'x' in (i), we get

2x + y = 5

=> 2(4+2y/3) + y = 5

=> 8 + 4y + 3y = 15

=> 7y = 7

=> y = 1


Putting value of 'y' in (i), we get

2x + y = 5

=> 2x + 1 = 5

=> x = 4/2

=> x = 2


Therefore,

Value of x = 2 and y = 1
