Solution :

x + 2(x-1) = 5/2

>> x + 2x - 2 = 5/2

>> 3x - 2 = 5/2

>> 3x = 5/2 + 2

>> 3x = (5+4)/2

>> 3x = 9/2

>> x = 9/2 ×

>> x = 3/2 = 1.5

\sf\green{Given:-}

  • x + 2 ( x - 1 ) = 5/2

\sf\green{Find:-}

  • Finding the value of x .

\sf\green{Solution:-}

\tt\longmapsto{x + 2(x + 1) =  \frac{5}{2} }

\tt\longmapsto{x + 2x - 1 =  \frac{5}{2} }

\tt\longmapsto{3x - 2 =  \frac{5}{2} }

\tt\longmapsto{3x =  \frac{5}{2}  + 2}

\tt\longmapsto{3x =  \frac{5}{2} }

\tt\longmapsto{3x = 2.5 + 2}

\tt\longmapsto{3x = 4.5}

\tt\longmapsto{3x = 4.5 + 3}

\tt\longmapsto \fbox{x = 1.5}

So,

So the answer is 1.5 [ option : b ] .❞
