we know that three terms of an ap can be represented as a-d,a and a+d
so now
a-d=3x-2. (1)
a=4x-2 (2)
a+d=x+2. (3)
adding equation (1) and(3)
we get 2a=4x
a=2x keeping this in equation (2) we get
2x=4x-2
x=1
