SOLUTION :-

  • Here, we have to find the value of x for which the given terms are in AP. So, the common difference between these terms will be same then these terms will be in AP

-6 , x , 8

A.T.Q

→x - (-6) = 8 - x

→x + 6 = 8 - x

→x + x = 8 - 6

→2x = 2

→x = 1

So, for value of x=1 these terms will be in A.P

we can take the average of the first and last to get the middel term i.e.,

x = (-6 + 8)/2 = 1

so simple............
