Answer:

According to pythagorus theorem,

(H)²=(B)² + (P)²

Here in big triangle Hypotenuse willbe 12 cm as given

Perpendicular is 3,

and Base is given as x

So by using pythagorus theorem,

(12)² = (B)² + (3)²

(x)² = 144-9

x=√135

x=3√5
