considering quadrilateral ABCE,
<CEA=90=<CBA
since opposite angles are 90° ABCE is a rectangle.
so,
- CB=EA(rectangle opp sides are equal)
- CB=14cm, so, EA=14cm
- DA=28-14=14cm.
- so, CB=EA=DE
now, considering triangle ️ ACD,
- AE=DE (proved)
- so CE is the median.
now considering triangle ️CEA and triangle ️ CED,
- CE=CE (common)
- AE=ED (median separates base equally)
- <CEA=<CED=90° (Given)
so, triangle ️CEA is congruent to triangle ️CED by RHS similarity.
so, CA=CD=50cm
x=50cm
hope it helps!
