considering quadrilateral ABCE,

<CEA=90=<CBA

since opposite angles are 90° ABCE is a rectangle.

so,

  • CB=EA(rectangle opp sides are equal)
  • CB=14cm, so, EA=14cm
  • DA=28-14=14cm.
  • so, CB=EA=DE

now, considering triangle ️ ACD,

  • AE=DE (proved)
  • so CE is the median.

now considering triangle ️CEA and triangle ️ CED,

  • CE=CE (common)
  • AE=ED (median separates base equally)
  • <CEA=<CED=90° (Given)

so, triangle ️CEA is congruent to triangle ️CED by RHS similarity.

so, CA=CD=50cm

x=50cm

hope it helps!
