find the value of (x+y) and (x-y) from the simultaneous equation 3x+4y=14 ; 2x+5y=16​

substitute both the equation

3x + 4y = 14

2x + 5y = 16

x - y = - 2

y = x + 2

so, 3x + 4(x + 2)=14

7x = 14 -8

x = 6/7
