Answer

  • x = 95°
  • y = 120°
  • z = 80°

Explanation

Given

  • In the above diagram we are given that there are two angles given
  • 60° & 25°

To Find

  • The value of x,y & z?

Solution

So here we may use the angle sum property. In a linear pair the angles add up to 180°

Finding x

➝ 60° + x + 25° = 180°

[linear pair]

➝ 85° + x = 180°

➝ x = 180°-85°

➝ x = 95°

Finding y

➝ y + 60° = 180°

[linear pair]

➝ y = 180°-60°

➝ y = 120°

Finding z

➝ y + z = 180°

[linear pair]

➝ 120° + z = 180°

➝ z = 180°-120°

z = 60°

sum of angles in a linear pair=180°

=>180°=60°+x+25°

=>x = 180°-(60°+25°)

=>x= 95°

as vertically opposite angles are equal,

<z= 60°

as angle CYB and angle AYD ar vertically opposite angles, they are equal,

Angle CYB =angle AYD

=>Y=x+25°

=>Y=130°
