x = 2y ( corresponding angles are equal )
x + 106 = 180 ( sum of interior angles )
x = 180 - 106
x = 74°
x = 2y
》 74 = 2y
》 y = 74/2
》 y = 37°
Angle PQS = 106° ( alternate interior angles )
Angle PQS = 4z + 6 ( alternate interior angles )
》 106 = 4z + 6
》 4z = 100
》 z = 25°
therefore, x = 74° ; y = 37° ; z = 25°.
b)
2x + 90 + x = 180 ( straight line )
3x = 180 - 90
3x = 90
x = 90/3 = 30°
x = 2y ( alternate interior angles )
30 = 2y
y = 30/2 = 15°
2y + z = 180 ( linear pair )
30 + z = 180
z = 180 - 30 = 150°.
therefore, x = 30° ; y = 15° ; z = 150°
