Let's name the parts though letters for the understanding the figure properly.

  1. AB makes an angle of 180°. So we need to find x.
  2. x = 180 – ( 40 + 25 ) = 180 – 65 = 125°.
  3. As, DE is a common line that passes through the line AB. Which, makes the 'z' vertically opposite angle to 40°.
  4. So, value of z = 40°. Now, for y = 180° – 40° = 140°.

So, The required values of this angles are:– x = 125°, y = 140° and z = 40°.
