Answer:

x = 115 degrees.

z = 40 degrees.

y = 140 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

40 + 25 + x = 180

(adjacent angles lying in a straight line)

65 + x = 180

x = 115 degrees.

x + 25 + Z = 180

(adjacent angles lying in a straight line)

115 + 25 + z = 180

140 + Z = 180

z = 40 degrees.

or, you can also find z in another way :

z = 40 degrees since it is a vertically opposite angles.

y +z = 180 (adjacent angles lying in a straight line)

y + 40 = 180

y = 140 degrees.

Hope you'll understand it.

  • x = 115°.
  • y = 140°.
  • z = 40°

====================================

ExplanaTion:-

Given:-

  • Angle AOC = 40°.

  • Angle BOP = 25°.

To Find:-

  • Angle x, y And z.

Concept Used:-

  • Linear Pair:- Sum of Angles making a straight angle is always equal to 180°.

So Here,

↦ <AOC + <POB + x= 180°.

[Linear Pair].

↦ 40° + 25° + x = 180°.

↦ 65° + x = 180°.

↦ x = 180° - 65°.

↦ x = 115°.

Similarly,

By linear pair,

↦ <AOC + y = 180°.

↦ 40° + y = 180°.

↦ y = 180° - 40°.

↦ y = 140°.

Also,

By linear pair

↦ y + z = 180°.

↦ 140° + z = 180°.

↦ z = 180° - 140°.

z = 40°.

Therefore The Required values of x, y and z are 115°, 140° And 40° Respectively.
