Find the value of (x + y) for the simultaneous equations 56x - 48y = 136 and 48x – 56y = 72.​

56x-48y=136. - 1

48x-56y=72. -2

(56x-48y=136) x 48. -3

(48x-56y=72) x 56. -4

from eq 3 and 4

2688x-2304y=6528

2688x-3136y=4032

------------------------------

y=2496/832

y=3

put (y) in eq 1

56x-48(3)=136

56x-144=136

56x=-12

x=-12/56

x=-3/14
