\bold{\boxed{Answer}}

56x+48y=136

=> 7x + 6y = 17 ------(1)

48x-56y=72

=> 6x - 7y = 9 ------(2)

eq no.(1) × 6 => 42x + 36y = 102-------(3)

eq no. (2) × 7 => 42x - 49y = 63 -------(4)

Now, eq no. (3) - eq no. (4)

=> 85 y = 39

=> y = 39/85

Putting the value of y in eq no. (1) ,

7x + 6 ×(39/85) = 17

=> 7x + (234/85) =17

=> 7x = 17- (234/85)

=> 7x =( 1211/85)

=> x = ( 1211/85) ×(1/7)

=> x = 173/85

So, X+Y = (39/85 ) + (173/85)

=212/85
