5x - 2y = 4
x + 8y = 26

Answer:

5x-2y=4-1st equation

x+8y=26 -2nd equation

2nd : x=26-8y

x value put into equation 1st

5×(26-8y)-2y=4

130-40y-2y=4

130-42y=4

130-4=42y

126=42y

y=126÷42

y=3 ans

y value put into equation 1st

x=130-42×(3)=4

130-126=4

x=4=4

x=4-4

x=0 ans
